Heart For The Fatherless (HFTF) has been organized to reach out to orphans locally, nationally, and internationally through prayer, missions, awareness, education, adoption, and advocacy.

 

In our world today, it is estimated that there are more than 153 million orphans and waiting children (source: Christian Alliance For Orphans).  Every one of these orphaned children is a child of God.  As Christians, we are called to be the first to reach out to orphaned and abandoned children around the world.  God has always had a plan in place to protect and provide for the orphan.  His plan is and always has been that we, His followers, would seek and serve those orphaned, foster, and waiting children in His name, regardless of personal cost or inconvenience.

 

With the Lord’s leading, a few of us began the orphan ministry in 2008 at our church in Kennewick, Washington.  In 2014 we became a 501c3 ministry.

 

Our ministry’s mission, with the Lord’s leading, is to seek to facilitate:

• Prayer and financial & personal support to Christian families seeking to adopt or provide foster care

• Prayer and financial support to orphanages that have teamed with HFTF

• Prayer and financial support for short-term mission trips with an orphan-related purpose

• Raising awareness of orphan-related issues amongst Christians in the Tri-Cities area
